Analyse postnatales

Des maladies génétiques constitutionnelles sont congénitales et héréditaires, le défaut génétique étant déjà présent dans la lignée germinale (germline, spermatozoïdes et ovules). Le défaut génétique peut être détecté dans toutes les cellules. .

Le tableau ci-dessous reprend les maladies constitutionnelles pour lesquelles le Centre de Génétique Médicale de Gand effectue des examens génétiques. Vous y trouvez à chaque fois le nom du responsable au laboratoire, ainsi que les informations relatives à la technique utilisée et au gène responsable, à la nature et la quantité de l’échantillon, au délai maximum (pour des analyses d’urgence, d’autres délais sont d’application).

Pour des maladies qui ne sont pas mentionnées ici, un test génétique peut éventuellement être effectué dans un autre centre de génétique belge ou un laboratoire à l'étranger. Veuillez nous contacter pour demander un test génétique dont les données ne sont pas reprises dans le tableau ci-dessous.

Analyses prénatales

Certains de ces tests sont aussi effectués sur des échantillons prélevés au stade prénatal (flocons du chorion, liquide amniotique). Des exemples d’indications sont une anomalie échographique ou un risque de maladie familiale. Une analyse prénatale pour le dépistage d’une maladie familiale n’est réalisée qu’à condition que le couple ait été largement informé de l’utilité et de l’opportunité de l’examen et que le défaut génétique familial ait été caractérisé avant la grossesse, afin que l’analyse prénatale puisse être limitée à un examen de mutation ou biochimique ciblé. Dans ce cas l'analyse peut être finalisée en 10 jours ouvrés.
